Taikodom Universe

The game Taikodom spans a brief hiatus within the whole existing Taikodom universe. The complete history behind the game encompasses 250 years in the future – between the XXI and the XXIII centuries.

Hoplon Infotainment partnered science fiction writer Gerson Lodi-Ribeiro to conceive this universe in details: Events. Characters, scenery... Nothing has escaped the heedful crew that prepared the background. Not just for the game, but for a whole series of media such as novels, short stories and comics.

This is the realm of hard science fiction, where scientific accuracy is emphasized, though not giving up on imagination to create new technologies and new worlds to be explored by Taikonauts.

Users are taken to the XXIII century, when mankind has already settled in space. A mystical energetic field blocked the Earth's surface in 2073 - this event is called Restriction. The humans who left the planet before the restrictive barrier - and who were then the pioneers in the Solar System colonization - spanned the Taikodom and other star systems, splitting themselves into several human classes.

Right after Restriction, however, spaceships loaded with people in suspended animation left Earth, never to come back again. The ones lucky enough to be awakened are called Resurrects. They are people like you, characters whose prime objective is adapting to survive the challenges imposed by space life - specially for whom had been hibernating for almost two centuries.
