Hoplon Infotainment has licensed its online game Taikodom to be published by K2 Network in their operating countries. That means it will be available in the most part of the western world.
The announcement takes place during E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009), considered the biggest event in the electronic games, which occurs from July 2nd to 4th in Los Angeles, EUA. At the K2 booth, Taikodom is accessible to visitors from several countries.
Images of the Brazilian MMOG decorate the place, which is also equipped with computers where the public can have a first contact and try out the game.
Taikodom will be published in 31 countries and, when the internationalization process is over, it will be available in nine languages. Internationalization has been being prepared many months ahead, since it is a goal set even before the Brazilian release in October 2008. "Taikodom was exhaustively evaluated by the K2 team. The result of the analysis was excellent and ultimately started the internationalization process. The fact that we have a strong and complex fictional universe contributed a lot too", Hoplon's CEO Tarqüínio Teles celebrates.
Hoplon will continue to evolve the game and be responsible for the publication in Brazil, which includes hosting, support, communication, billing, among others. K2, in turn, will publish it in USA, Canada, Mexico, Turkey and the 27 European Union countries. The North-American company will implement publication services to offer local support and hosting, with servers and billing platforms compatibles for each country.
Taikodom will always be one. Every improvement and implementation will be available to players worldwide. The free-to-play model will be maintained in all territories where the game is published, so players can choose if they prefer to play free of charge or buy benefits through affiliation plans.
